Message from the General Director & CEO

Founded in 1804 during the Edo period, Shimizu Corporation will celebrate its 220th anniversary this fiscal year. Throughout our long history, high aspirations for the sincere approach to monozukuri (superb craftsmanship) espoused by founder Kisuke Shimizu have been passed down along with a spirit of enterprise based on a customer-first mindset.

Since entering Vietnam in 1993, during 30 years of business, we always keep in our mind the principles of "sincere monozukuri," "customer first" and "enterprising spirit". Our local subsidiary – Shimizu Vietnam Co., Ltd - is established in 2014, and this year marks the 10th anniversary.

We have contributed to the development of Vietnam through a wide range of construction works throughout the country, including production facilities, schools, commercial buildings, hotels, subways, and bridges.

Our greatest strength is our local employees - who have made steady efforts to sincerely respond to the requests and expectations of our customers.

Going forward, we will continue to utilize the combined strength of the entire group and continue to manage our business with deep local roots, so that we can contribute to Vietnam and our customers through our construction service.

清水建設は、1804年、江戸時代に創業し、今年220 年を迎えようとしています。この長い歴史の中で受け継がれてきたのが、創業者の 清水喜助が大切にした「誠実なものづくり」への高い志と「顧客第一」という考え方を ベースにした時代を先取りしチャレンジし続ける「進取の精神」です。

シミズベトナム社も、この「誠実なものづくり」「顧客第一」「進取の精神」を礎に、1993年のベトナム進出以来30年の歴史を歩んできました。また、2014年に現地法人を設立し、今年で10周年を迎えます。

これまで、ベトナム全土にわたる生産施設、学校、商業ビル、ホテル、地下鉄、橋梁など多岐にわたる建設工事を通じて、ベトナムの発展に貢献してまいりました。

この過程でいただいたお客様のご要望やご期待に真摯に対応し、地道な努力を重ねた現地従業員の存在が、私たちの最大の強みです。

今後もグループ全社の総合力を活かし、建設事業を通じてベトナム及びお客様の事業に貢献できるよう、現地に根差した経営を続けてまいります。
