Southern Thailand — Thai Shimizu recently extended its commitment to supporting education and developing future professionals through a series of academic outreach activities at two leading universities in Southern Thailand: Walailak University in Nakhon Si Thammarat and Prince of Songkla University in Hat Yai.
On 2 February 2026, Thai Shimizu delivered a special lecture to engineering students at Walailak University. The session welcomed students from the Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering programs, providing them with practical insights into the construction industry and the wide range of professional opportunities available in the field.
Thai Shimizu also participated in the Engineering Job Fair at Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus, held from 5–6 February 2026. Through its exhibition booth, the company introduced students to Thai Shimizu’s business, working environment, career opportunities, and the diverse roles involved in delivering complex construction projects.
On 6 February 2026, the company conducted a special lecture for Civil Engineering students at Prince of Songkla University. The lecture lasted more than three hours and received highly positive feedback from both students and faculty members. Students had the opportunity to gain knowledge from experienced professionals and engage in an interactive question-and-answer session with experts who have direct experience in the construction industry.
The presentations covered a wide range of topics, including the fundamentals of construction projects, key project stakeholders, the construction process and work sequence, current technologies and innovations, future career opportunities, and the essential skills needed to succeed in the construction profession.
By sharing practical knowledge and real-world experience, Thai Shimizu aims to help students better understand the construction industry and prepare themselves for their future careers.
