Shimizu Corporation was founded in 1804 in Japan. Shimizu is the parent company of Shimizu Realty Development (U.S.A), Inc. (SRD). Kisuke Shimizu I, a carpenter from Toyama Prefecture, launched his carpentry business in the Kanda district of Edo (now Tokyo). From the start, Kisuke Shimizu devoted himself to building reliable structures of the highest quality. Today, Shimizu continues to invest deeply in technology to meet the needs of its clients and society.
SRD is the entity responsible for real estate investments in the US and is part of the Investment & Development Division of Shimizu (IDD). IDD was established in 2002 and is proud of its track records with more than 80 projects in Japan, South East Asia, and the US.
