OVERVIEW
The sophisticated plant was designed to produce Toshiba's high purity quartz glass crucibles used in producing microchips. Shimizu North America built the facility in eight months during severe Winter weather conditions. The 40,000 s.f. building, located in Hillsboro, Oregon, houses an automated, computer-controlled production facility, acid waste neutralization system, and other essential utility systems.
