On March 5, a completion ceremony was held for the construction of the Kampala Flyover Project.
Approximately 200 people attended, including the President of Uganda, H.E. Mr. Museveni; the Prime Minister, H.E. Ms. Nabbanja; ministers from the government of Uganda; His Excellency Ambassador Sasayama of Japan to Uganda; JICA Uganda Office Director Mr. Inoue; and Shimizu Africa Office Managing Director Mr. Ochi.
The project was implemented with the aim of improving traffic in the city by constructing a flyover at a major intersection that experiences significant congestion in the heart of Kampala. It is designed to enhance logistics and stimulate economic activity in the Greater Kampala metropolitan area.
ウガンダ／カンパラ立体交差 竣工式を開催
3月5日、カンパラ立体交差建設工事について竣工式が行われました。
ウガンダのムセベニ大統領、ナッバンジャ首相、各省庁大臣、佐々山ウガンダ日本国大使、井上JICAウガンダ事務所長、越智アフリカ営業所長ら約200人が出席しました。
このプロジェクトは、カンパラ市中心部において、特に混雑の激しい主要交差点を立体化することで市内の交通改善を促進し、大カンパラ都市圏における物流の改善と経済活性化を図ることを目的として実施されました。
