On June 23, a completion ceremony was held for the rehabilitation of National Trunk Road N8 in Ghana.
Approximately 300 people attended, including Vice President of Ghana Dr. Bawumia, Minister of the Ministry of Roads and Highways Mr. Atta, Special Assistant to the President of JICA Mr. Nakamura, Director of the Ghana Office of JICA Ms. Suzuki, and General Manager Ochi of our Africa Office.
This project is the rehabilitation of a part (extension 31.2km) of National Trunk Road N8, which is part of the central corridor of Ghana. It was carried out under Japanese ODA with the purpose of ensuring smooth and safe transportation, improvement of local living foundation, and economic growth.
ガーナ／第二次国道八号線改修工事 竣工式を開催
6月23日、ガーナ第二次国道八号線改修計画の復旧工事について竣工式が行われました。ガーナのバウミア副大統領、アタ道路高速道路大臣、中村JICA総裁特別補佐、鈴木JICAガーナ事務所長、越智アフリカ営業所長ら約300人が出席しました。
このプロジェクトでは、ガーナの中央回廊の一部である国道八号線の一部（延長31.2km）を改修するもので、円滑かつ安全な道路交通の確保、地域生活基盤の向上、並びに同国の経済成長を目的として、日本のODAにより実施されました。
