In 1804, founder Kisuke Shimizu established a carpentry shop in the district of Edo (now Tokyo), marking the inauguration of a company whose history currently spans more than two centuries. Shimizu has been tackled each and every project with great passion in order to hand down the Shimizu heritage to our children and subsequent generations. We have encapsulated this approach with our corporate slogan: “Today’s Work, Tomorrow’s Heritage.”

Since Shimizu representative office was officially launched in Vietnam in 1993, as one of the first foreign contractors in Vietnam, we have undertaken wide variety of projects, in terms of size, type and functionality, throughout Vietnam ranging from office building projects to civil projects. Some of our significant projects in this period are Bai Chay Bridge, HITC building, Sun-Red River building, Sun Wah Tower. etc.

Shimizu Vietnam Company Limited was established as a local company incorporated in Vietnam in 2014 with 100% foreign-invested capital. Through 30 years, our project presented from North to South, from industrial parks to city, from factories to school and continue to expand to various of construction service, not only design and build but also engineering service. Together with strongly support from Shimizu headquarters and international division, we always focus on developing local human resources to persevere Japanese quality in accordance with understanding local practice. We continue to expand our core strengths in construction to strive for greater heights of achievement and provide service in plant engineering, building facilities that integrate production plants, building and IT systems from planning through construction are among the solutions that we offer.

Learn from COVID 19, we are building and consolidating the implementation plan to face similar unforeseen epidemics in future, to minimize the negative impact on the business activities and ensure client satisfactory. We sincerely look forward to more quality projects in Vietnam which assist us in contributing to a brighter future for our customers all over the country.
